Word of the Month

Love. It brings out the best (and the worst) in those who have it. Love can make you feel like you have the world, and make you feel like you’ve hit rock bottom. You establish relationships with girlfriends/boyfriends, friends, family, etc. Love is not always going to be kissing at the top of the ferris wheel, but it’s the feeling that you’ve finally gotten comfortable enough to let someone walk through your metaphorical wall and pour your heart out to them. Some of the strongest love can make you wish you’d found this road earlier. Love is an emotion experienced by the many and enjoyed by the few. It’s definitely a feeling of extremes, which isn’t for everyone. You have to love. You have to feel. It is the reason you are here on Earth. To risk yourself.

  1. Your word for the month is a nice change to the usual “stressed student” theme. I noticed you explicitly used various rhetorical devices and strategies, strengthening your piece. You ended your piece with a strong line. It made me think about how we risk ourselves to achieve a higher goal in life; whether it is love or inner-peace. Overall, great piece and keep up the good work!- Jaren

  2. I really like your word of the month it goes February. Thinking that February 14 is the “day of love”. “Love is not always going to be kissing at the top of the ferris wheel, but it’s the feeling that you’ve finally gotten comfortable enough to let someone walk through your metaphorical wall”.I like how you explained that love does not have look a certain way It’s the way of how you feel. When you wrote “Love is an emotion experienced by the many and enjoyed by the few” it made me think of how I’m not very emotional and thats not the healthiest way to live but It’s the way people live. I really enjoyed reading your word of the month.
